A Global Logistics $10BN revenue business, providing asset solutions and infrastructure for the shipping industry embarking on a strategic deployment and transformation journey.
We were engaged by the Group COO to advise on a newly created strategic transformation programme and investment initiative focused on automation and digital solutions whilst continuing with their ‘one company approach’ and way of working.
This leadership search would allow the business to identify someone to implement and deliver Global Strategy & Policy Deployment whilst also continuing their succession planning for COO and Managing Director positions across their global network.
The nature of the search required us to work closely with the COO and VP Global Transformation on defining the position correctly and advising on the job description and key deliverables before we started the former search mandate. This included providing a strategic advisor (global expert in Strategy Deployment) who carried out a 4-week diagnostic of the business and key areas for transformation. Our team was then able to commence the search and deliver a shortlist and use our video interview platform to present a diverse candidate slate covering European and US based candidates.
The project was delivered slower than our usual timelines due to the European COVID-19 travel restrictions impeding the final interviews at the headquarters in the Netherlands. The chosen candidate was a global leader in Strategy Deployment and Operational Excellence across numerous industries and is considered great succession planning for the VP of Transformation due to his technical and cultural fit with the business. Pacific is now supporting the phase two of the transformation agenda with a focus on Automation and Digital transformation
