Pacific International has been retained by a prominent Fortune 500 building and construction materials leader committed to building a sustainable future through material innovation to find a new Plant Manager for their newest greenfield site, the organization’s most significant capital endeavour of its kind in years.
While the plant was already performing to a high standard, the organization was looking for an individual with a niche set of skills and experience to lead it to success. The ideal candidate the company sought needed to possess not only a track record of effectively establishing and managing greenfield plants but also invaluable expertise in capital project management and be adept in stakeholder coordination.
Pacific has a long-standing trusted relationship with the organization globally and over the past few years has placed multiple plant managers across the US and Europe. Leveraging our understanding of their business objectives, organizational culture, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, we understood the challenge and were confident in our ability to provide the transformative, high-impact talent they anticipated.
Pacific diligently followed its established Executive Search process, which resulted in a substantial longlist of more than 240 candidates. A highly suitable local female candidate stood out among them. She not only possessed the requisite experience and skill sets but also boasted invaluable connections within the local community, which was an additional asset to the organization.
Following a rigorous interview and offer negotiation process, the search project resulted in the successful placement of a female plant manager closing in just over a month. At the time of writing this client success story, she has already started working at her new organization and is excited to pursue this exciting next step in her career while paving the way for more underrepresented individuals who want to succeed in manufacturing.
Christina Stage, the newly appointed Plant Manager commented:
“I was contacted in early May about a potential job opportunity in my local area by Jenna McGrath and Kathryn Williams. They described in detail the company, job description and active projects the local plant was working on. Both took careful consideration of my background and getting to learn my needs for career advancement. As we progressed through the interview process both stayed in contact often and continued to check if I felt it was the right position for me.
Ultimately, I did end up receiving and accepting an offer which I know I may not have gotten without their support. Never once did I feel pushed into moving forward but exactly the opposite – they were more focused on it being right for me which truly makes them stand out from other recruiters I have encountered. I appreciate all the support from Jenna and Kathryn and would recommend their resources to other businesses as highly professional and engaged. Both were great to work with and they are both passionable about finding the right candidates for their clients.”
