Pacific was retained by the electrification business unit, headquartered in Colorado. We were tasked with identifying the newly created position covering global Programs and Portfolio Management.
The new division was growing rapidly and had already sold their products, and so required a leader level expert with strong leadership skills and PMO experience. The role was to manage projects and successfully complete the customer delivery programs. The CEO needed a pivotal leader to be responsible for the execution and coordination of major strategic business and customer critical projects.
Pacific had previously delivered talent acquisition mandates for this client across the business globally. When their own search process failed to identify the right talent, the client asked us to deliver on this executive search for their most crucial new divisions. The CEO and the Business Unit HR Leader briefed us to identify an expert in electrification programs who could demonstrate strong leadership and help transform the business.
We worked across both our US and European offices and delivered a shortlist of candidates within 3 weeks. They were presented to the CEO through our video interview platform and included German, Spanish, Nordic and US candidates.
The successful candidate was identified, interviewed, and accepted an offer within one month. With his strong background in Electrification Program Management, his inclusive leadership style, and his driven personality, the candidate hit the ground running and was already creating his 100 plan for the PMO before his start date.
Pacific has since delivered a number of other key leadership mandates for the business unit globally.
